Phnom Penh, June 24, 2020: Chairman of ABC, Dr. IN Channy attended a meeting with His Excellency Kong Vibol, Delegate of the Royal Government in charge as Director General of the General Department of Taxation. They co-chaired the meeting to discuss the filing of online tax returns (E-Filing) and the new monthly tax return forms. The meeting was participated by the top management and relevant tax officials from the General Department of Taxation, as well as representatives of banks, MFIs and the private sector, on June 24, 2020 at the General Department of Taxation.
RESULTS OF THE MEETING: GDT allowed the Banks and Microfinance Institutions to test the Desktop Application and to raise any remaining technical issues. The testing was aimed to collect inputs and comments from the private sector. The GDT will try to accommodate solutions for any concerns raised by the private sector.
